Positively on Fire
'The staging and direction are inspired, but ultimately the show will stand or fall by the number of devotees to the music. And as Townshend explains in the programme, 'It's the music of the frustrated and dissatisfied looking for some sort of musical panacea'. And that’s the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow. But it all adds up to a couple of hours that suck you in, chew you up and spit you out exhilarated, drained but positively on fire.'
